About us

The Molitor Music School and its founder Éva Molitor have been organising the spring, summer and autumn Sound Forest Creative Camps since 2007. Every year, more and more children have taken part in the programmes, hundreds of them to this date. Many of them have now chosen a career in music or are active musicians, to which the experiences at our creative camps have contributed greatly. The youngest is 8 and the majority are aged 9-17.

The goal of the Sound Forest Creative Camp programme

Children are actively involved in the choice of the musical material. It is important to work with music that is close to the younger age groups, but at the same time can achieve the goals of the camp. In this way, we can achieve our goals in a more direct, family-like atmosphere in a very efficient and effective way.

Our excellent teachers have been fully committed to the preparation and running of the camp for many years. They do this in their free time, out of commitment and deep faith, working essentially 24 hours a day during the camps.

We operate cost-effectively, in low-cost accommodations, in rented, often open and unheated rehearsal rooms, with existing privately owned technical equipment (instruments, amplification), with the direct involvement of families (care and transport of children, camp cooking, washing up, child supervision).

The joy of life, the euphoric atmosphere, the loving harmony between young and grown-up children, which makes our Sound Forest Creative Camp unique, comes through all our previous amateur photos and videos.

We are often joined by students who had not participated in any kind of artistic activity before the camp, but only knew of our camp by reputation. Their presence and their developing talents often surprise their parents. We believe that with professional knowledge, up-to-date skills and a commitment to children, miracles can be achieved for all children even those who cannot develop in a school setting.

The Molitor Music School at Szelid - The music campers of the capital will give a concert tonight on the cinema stage

We stumbled upon the impromptu debut concert of the music campers from Budapest by chance. We started rolling the camera straight away. Since we only got there at the end of the half-hour mini-concert, we only managed to capture this part of it, but it's just enough for a taste....
